WRC brought a fantastic atmosphere to Karlovac County

A spring Saturday drew thousands of motorsport fans to the roads of Karlovac County, where they enjoyed another exciting day of the WRC Croatia Rally.

Alongside local supporters, a large number of international visitors arrived, once again confirming the global significance of this prestigious competition.

Throughout the day, special stages were held according to the previously announced schedule, including Generalski Stol – Zdihovo (1 and 2) and Pećurkovo Brdo – Mrežnički Novaki (1 and 2). Particular attention was drawn to the 22.48-kilometre stage from Generalski Stol to Zdihovo, which passes through the Ogulin area, with one of its most attractive sections located in Trošmarija. There, on a stretch crossing the bridges over Lake Lešće’s reservoir, hundreds of spectators gathered—from Croatia as well as Slovenia, Italy, Hungary, Bulgaria, and San Marino.

Great interest was also shown in the shorter but highly attractive Pećurkovo Brdo – Mrežnički Novaki stage (9.11 km), which has become a kind of trademark of WRC stages in this area.

Alongside the competitive action, Karlovac served as a hub of additional activities, largely thanks to the rich FAN zone at the Korana Sports and Recreation Centre. The FAN zone was open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with free entry, offering visitors the chance to see all the vehicles and drivers of this year’s rally up close.

The program catered to all generations, from free karting and a safe driving simulator to an educational and interactive police stand, complemented by a diverse food and beverage offer. A special highlight was watching the race live via Rally TV broadcasts on big screens, while the arrival of rally cars for regrouping at 12:48 p.m. allowed for photos and direct interaction with the drivers.

This year’s WRC Croatia Rally once again confirmed its status as one of the biggest sporting events in Croatia, attracting global attention and bringing a unique atmosphere to the roads of Karlovac County.
