On 26 September 2026, Karlovac will once again be in the spotlight of international cycling as the city hosts the start of Stage 5 of CRO Race 2026. The 164.5-kilometre route will take some of the world’s top cyclists from the city on four rivers to the finish in Sveta Nedelja.

After leaving Karlovac, the route continues through the scenic landscapes of Karlovac and Zagreb counties, passing through Duga Resa, Ozalj, Jastrebarsko and Samobor. Riders will face a total elevation gain of 2,345 metres, with particularly demanding categorized climbs at Lović Prekriški and Plešivica.

CRO Race once again combines top-level sport with destination promotion, showcasing rivers, green hills, vineyards and historic towns along the route. The television broadcast will also provide an excellent opportunity to present Karlovac and its surroundings to audiences in Croatia and around the world.

The race start in Karlovac is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., while the first riders are expected to reach the finish in Sveta Nedelja between approximately 2:44 p.m. and 3:06 p.m., depending on the average race speed.
